For the second time Made in Poland is showing a movie at the Tyneside Cinema. This time we bring you The Offsiders one of latest productions of New Polish Cinema, a movie recently shown in London as part of Kinoteka, polish film festival.

This awe-inspiring feel-good football story is a heartwarming and funny tale about ex-international footballer Jacek, who’s homeless and living in Warsaw Central Station. Unbowed by his new life, Jacek sets about establishing a football team with his fellow down-and-outs and against all the odds transforms their lives by competing in the Homeless World Cup. A winner!
The Offsiders were directed by Kasia Adamik, who is a daughter of Agnieszka Holland, one of Poland’s most prominent filmmakers.
After the success of the previous screening of a polish movie in the Tyneside Cinema when the tickets where sold out long before the screening time, we suggest you book a ticket in advance. Thanks to Made in Poland the tickets cost only £4 (£3 concession).
